Course Descriptions

The course is based on the textual foundation of the national planning textbook "A Glimpse of Chinese Culture" edited by Prof. Liao Huaying. This online course is also the National High-quality Online Courses awarded by the Ministry of Education in 2018. The course covers different aspects of Chinese culture which are "Overview of China", "Chinese Literature", "Chinese Art", "Chinese Science and Technology", "Chinese Sports", "Chinese Festivals", "Chinese Cuisine", "Chinese Clothing", "Chinese Architecture", "Chinese Economy", "Modern Chinese Cultural" and so on. After learning this course, you will enjoy and express Chinese Culture in a better way, and tell Chinese stories in confidence. You will 1. Obtain an understanding of Chinese culture in light of other cultures; 2. Get to know the key terms in Chinese culture and how they are expressed in English cultivate your deep thinking about Chinese culture.
